Microsoft has given their BizTalk Server 2016 the RTM status, meaning that we all can download the latest version from MSDN.
It is the tenth version of BizTalk with a release about every two years, making it a very stable Middleware System.
Are you running an old version of BizTalk and are you considering an upgrade? If you want to use the latest technologies and applications on the market, please upgrade. There are a lot of new features available, which you can read on the msdn, what’s new. Or read more about it on the Microsoft blog.
Since SQL Server 2016 is supported, BizTalk can now also use the always on availability groups, which means you have a really high availability, for BizTalk! Furthermore, BizTalk now has out-of-the-box adapter for the Azure Logic Apps, meaning you can create a hybrid connection between your on premise BizTalk and your Logic Apps in the cloud.
