People like planning and like to stick to the plans they made. In my opinion planning should only be used as a baseline for everything you do. The most beautiful things in life and the best experiences usually happen when you have not planned them! They just happen… Of course the opposite is also true.
Me and my colleagues went to Brno with a plan to go shopping in the morning and in the afternoon we would go and visit some interesting landmarks of the city. But what we ended up doing was much more fun and amazing then we could have ever imagined.
We wanted to go to Dome Z in Brno which my friend Jordy really wanted to take pictures at. It ended up being closed with a big fence around it.. We considered hopping over the fence, but decided against it, since trying to explain why we were trespassing wasn’t really a thing any of us were up to. So we decided, since our plan fell apart, just to walk in a random direction around the dome. And that’s when we discovered something amazing.
We saw a strange but beautiful hallway, which we decided to inspect. We arrived at a technology park! It was intended for kids, but sometimes you just have to let go and have fun with it. All the wonders of science and experiments that you could all try for yourself. I think none of us enjoyed ourselves that much in a while.
Afterwards we had plans to go to a specific restaurant, but I got us lost and we found a better place! The restaurant gave us a delicious free starter, and the main dish was even better.
My conclusion is that I was right, planning is good. But some of the best things in life can just not be planned they just happen.
